Klaus Haapaniemi Giants

Having always been rooted in the rich narratives of Nordic folklore, Klaus Haapaniemi adds another facet to his design repertoire with a new collection of childrenswear, in partnership with designer and denim specialist, Tiina Salmela. Playfully entitled ‘Klaus Haapaniemi Giants’, it encourages imagination and curiosity for the great outdoors - each garment constructed with a superior robust quality suitable for even the most adventurous of explorers.

A celebration of childhood inspired by the timelessness of child’s play and the beauty of the Finnish countryside, each piece is completely machine washable and aims, where possible, to use only organic materials.

Consisting of a casual collection of day dresses, t-shirts and denim for boys and girls in the warmer months, the charming prints and woodland characters have been designed in the iconic Haapaniemi style that has become synonymous to the studio.

These prints hero the creatures native to the Finnish forest, each character imagined by Klaus Haapaniemi himself with his naturally inquisitive mind and unique illustrative process.
